Paintings with acrylic on canvas

Barry Brooks is a Canadian West Coast artist painting with acrylics on canvas. Living in the Vancouver lower mainland areas for over 50 years his great passions in life are painting and music. Many of his younger years spent playing guitar in various bands, now Barry spends most of his time painting landscape and seascape paintings.

 

He particularly enjoys scenes that require meticulous detail, every stone given its due. Barry’s love for painting calm clear water that allows you to see the bottom of the lake or ocean comes from his frequent walks along sea shores. Spending many trips travelling from the lower mainland to Vancouver Island has inspired many of his small isle paintings by the sights he encounters travelling this coast.
